  24.      Welcome to this updated version of PlayBall. The original doc file is
  25. included on this disk. This document is to inform you of the improvements 
  26. made since the original.
  27.      These include:

  30.      ***   Music JukeBox.
  31.  
  32.      ***   Improved Ingame Graphics.
  33.  
  34.      ***   Improved Menu Graphics.
  35.  
  36.      ***   Improved Menu options. (Intro can be turned off etc..)
  37.  
  38.      ***   Extra ingame bonuses.
  39.  
  40.      ***   A couple of bugs removed.
  41.  
  42.      ***   All options selected (ie keys redefined etc..) are 
  43.            automatically saved.  
  44.  
  45.    It is worth noting that if you are playing from disk and have room for 
  46. the Jukebox Music (2 meg + amigas) that it will take a little extra time 
  47. to load them in. Of course if you've a hard drive simple copy the main 
  48. folder onto it and you'll not notice anything. If however you are playing 
  49. from disk and have room for the music but don't want it, simply go to the
  50. music menu and clear the list. This will save it been loaded in every time
  51. you play.

  54. ********   Music Jukebox   ***********

  56. Simple saying Music Jukebox is not doing the new music menu full justice.
  57. The full options are as follow:

  59.   FX - Ingame sound effects.
  60.  
  61.   MUSIC - Selects ingame Music, the type of which is one of the following.
  62.  
  63.  
  64.   RANDOM LOOP - Will select on of the tracks and play it constantly 
  65. throughout your game, looping if necessary.
  66.  
  67.   JUKEBOX - Will randomly choose and play a different track every 2 
  68. minutes. Only repeating a track when all have been played.
  69.  
  70.   CHOOSE - You can choose which track you wish to listen to (only one i'm 
  71. afraid), which will loop if necessary.
  72.  
  73.   LOAD YOUR OWN - You can select any of your own favourite tunes and load 
  74. them into the music list.
  75.   Click on one of the blank boxes and use the menu to find your music file
  76. you wish to use, MOD files only i'm afraid. They will be copied into the 
  77. same folder as the other music files (P2 MUSIC), so due to the tight 
  78. squeeze on the disk, you'll only be able to do this if you've copied 
  79. PlayBall onto you're hard drive. If you try it and you've not enough room 
  80. the program will crash, so you've been warned.
  81.   The list can be cleared by pressing the 'ESCAPE' key on the Load Own 
  82. screen. You will find all music file as stated above in the 'P2 MUSIC' 
  83. folder for re-entering onto the list.

  86. ************  IMPROVED MENU OPTIONS  ************

  88. I suppose that most of these improvements should have been in the original
  89. in the first place but then you wouldn't have wanted to have registered if
  90. they had been i suppose. The best addition is the auto-saving of the 
  91. selected options, especially been able to switch off the intro, which 
  92. might have started to get annoying. I only left it on because it was so 
  93. fiddly to do that i couldn't bare to drop it. 
  94. The game is now pre-set to both joystick+keyboard controls, you can change
  95. it to just one of them if you prefer. The joystick bug on Bonuses has been
  96. fixed.

  98. All the other improvements are obvious as you play, if you would like to 
  99. see anything new or altered, or have any ideas for a PlayBall 2. Then 
  100. please let me know at the address in the other doc file.
